#93 Meet Saya, Computer Generated Japanese Schoolgirl

Saya a Japanese schoolgirl from Tokyo, Saya isn’t human, she is entirely computer generated.

Sea recently got lots of attention after people tweeting pictures of her on Twitter. After a long time of staring Saya, it's hard to remember that she’s not a real person.

The sea was created by a team Teruyuki and Yuka Ishikawa in Tokyo. She was designed by computer graphic designers. It was created using several programs, including Quixel, a PBR (physically based rendering) program and Maya, a 3D animation software.

You can follow Saya updates and watch her portfolio on Twitter. Saya’s skin was the hard part of this project. They wanted it to look like “moist, soft and translucent,”

According to Yuka said in a tweet that,”This character, Saya, was created as a CG character for a self-produced movie, I plan to equip her with body armour and am working on a better version.”
